- Chief Executive Officer
Gurpaul Singh has a unique combination of technology, business and management expertise. Gurpaul graduated from medical school in 1995 and received the class prize in Family Practice. After practicing as a physician for several years, he realized his passion for technology. He made the transition to management when he joined Karta Technologies in 1999 focusing on on-line healthcare training. As a member of the senior leadership team, he became a seasoned executive in the technology-based training industry, managing a team of 100 software and learning professionals with a diverse client base of government, defense and Fortune 500 companies. Gurpaul and his family exited Karta upon acquisition by NCI Technologies (NCIT).
As CEO of Asset Essentials, Gurpaul has successfully developed a culture that encourages teamwork while maintaining accountability. This family dynamic not only attracts the best talent in the industry, it retains it.
Gurpaul is active in the local community and served on the Mayor’s Leadership and Steering Committee for SA2020, tasked with creating a roadmap for San Antonio's growth and aspirations as a community over the next 10 years.
Fun Fact: In his spare time he enjoys traveling, classical Indian music, basketball (really just the Spurs!) and motorsports.
- Chief Operations Officer
Over the past 7 years, Chad has been deeply involved in multifamily telecommunications as both an owner and consultant. As a Cum Laude graduate with a B.B.A. in Finance and a M.B.A. in General Business from Texas Tech University, he has focused on finding innovative ways to create additional income for multifamily owners and managers.
He began his career with the Lynd Company as a special projects manager and subsequently left to form Asset Essentials, concentrating on the negotiation and management of service provider agreements for multifamily properties.
Since 2011, Chad has been responsible for business development and client/provider relations. During this span, Asset Essentials has grown to represent over 35 companies comprising over 750,000 units.
Fun Fact: Chad has never tried any vegetable besides spinach and green beans.
- Operations Support Manager
After receiving her B.A in Fashion Management from University of the Incarnate Word, Amanda gained experience in leadership, sales and customer relations as the Service Experience Lead at Nordstrom. Amanda joined Asset Essentials in 2015 as Office Manager and received a promotion to Operations Support Manager the following year.
As Operations Support Manager, Amanda supports team members in various operational aspects ranging from process improvement and training to CRM administration. She is also responsible for account management and managing all marketing initiatives for Asset Essentials. Her background allows her to utilize her skills in corporate branding, marketing and graphic design to create new media outlets that further expand the Asset Essentials brand.
Fun Fact: Amanda loves to travel to hiking destinations and document her adventures through photography.
Mpoki, a Certified Public Accountant license holder, graduated with a B.B.A in Finance from University of Kentucky, and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mpoki has worked in Corporate Accounting for over 10 years. At Asset Essentials, Mpoki is responsible for all of the Accounting as well as for facilitating and directing multiple financial initiatives.
Fun Fact: Mpoki played 1st Division Basketball in his native Tanzania.
- Account Manager
Matt has spent the last 6 years deeply involved in the multifamily industry as both an owner representative and a vendor. After graduating from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a B.B.A. in Marketing, Matt joined the Lynd Company where he held various positions ranging from Leasing Agent to Community Director. In 2012, Matt joined Asset Essentials where he currently serves as an Account Manager overseeing multiple properties across the country. His role focuses on client support, revenue share auditing, contract analysis and in his free time, a little business development. Matt's dedication to excellence and focus to detail have allowed him to build trusting relationships with both his clients and the providers.
Fun Fact: Matt loves spending time outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing and playing sports.
- Account Manager
After graduating from Texas Tech University with his BBA, Andrew quickly joined the multifamily industry as a member of the Leadership Development Program at the Lynd Company. While with Lynd, Andrew was fully immersed into multiple aspects of multifamily operations. He gained tangible onsite experience while leading takeover and disposition teams focused on instant onsite value creation. After 3 years with Lynd, Andrew continued his multifamily career in Chicago with Peak Properties. He spent a year and a half there where he focused on foreclosed assets and HUD assets located on the cities South and West sides.
Andrew moved back to San Antonio in 2017 where he joined Asset Essentials as an Account Manager. His multiple years of multifamily experience give him great insight into what our clients expect and his dedication to excellence has allowed him to instantly thrive in our multifaceted environment. Andrew has begun to take on property portfolios and build relationships with different clients and providers.
Fun Fact: Andrews is a father of 2 handsome boys and husband to his beautiful wife Miriah. He enjoys outdoor activities, spots and being with his family.
- Vice President
Tanya entered the telecommunications' industry after graduating with a Bachelor's of Science from St. Mary's University in 2002. While working full time at Time Warner Cable, she earned an M.B.A., graduating Cum Laude from Webster University. At TWC she worked as a Senior Account Manager focused on negotiating contract terms and access rights for Multifamily Owners. As one of the first employees at Asset Essentials, Tanya's background and knowledge of the telecom space proved pivotal to the growth and the development of the company. Tanya now holds the title of Vice President and is in charge of all day to day operations of the company including billing, auditing, account management and contract analysis.
Fun Fact: In her spare time Tanya loves to travel. She was born in Canberra, Australia and speaks Spanish, Italian, German, English and conversational Portuguese.
- Chief Business Development Officer
Rose joined Asset Essentials with over 25 years of experience in developing companies in the multi-family industry. In the past, she worked for Realpage as National Accounts Manager, Web Service Company as Director of National Accounts and Rent.com as a Regional Manager. Her most recent accomplishment was leading the business development efforts for RentCollect Global. As Vice President of Business Development, Rose built RentCollects client base to over two million (2,000,000) units.
Rose attended CSULB where she studied Liberal Arts. At Asset Essentials, Rose is responsible for business development, client satisfaction, and client support. Rose currently lives in Yorba Linda, CA with her husband and two children.
Fun Fact: Rose only drinks rosé champagne.
- VP of Operations
Jim brings to Asset Essentials experience in both telecom and multifamily real estate industries.
Jim began his career in Boston with a dotcom research firm that eventually moved him to London to help start their European expansion. After a few years with the firm, he left to obtain his MBA at Baylor University. Upon completion of his MBA, he joined Frost & Sullivan, a strategy consulting firm. His focus at the firm was research and consulting in the technology and telecom industries. In 2005, he moved into multifamily real estate with Lynd Residential Properties (LRP) as an Asset Manager. Jim managed a portfolio consisting of 32 properties in 6 metro areas totaling more than $500M in value at its peak. His role with Lynd was multifaceted, giving him experience not only in Asset Management, but also direct operational responsibility as a multi-site manager.
Prior to joining Asset Essentials, Jim was the Director of Asset Management for Fulton Property Group. Jim created the firm's asset management program and was responsible for managing the financial performance of all Fulton assets.
At Asset Essentials, Jim oversees all day to day operations.
Jim received his M.B.A. from Baylor University and a B.A. in Psychology from Pomona College. Jim and his wife, Trisha, live in San Antonio.
Fun Fact: An athlete his entire life, Jim won the NCAA Division III Scoring Title in 1997 while a member of the Pomona College football team. He is also in the NCAA Football Record Book all-time lists twice - the first for Season Points Per Game (20.8), which is #3 on the All-Division List (behind Barry Sanders and Carl Herakovich), and the second for Career Points Per Game (12.0), which is #20 on the All-Division list.
- Operational Analyst
Jake joined Asset Essentials in 2017 as an intern, and after displaying proficiency in all aspects of the business, was promoted to fulfill the role of Operational Analyst.
Jake received his B.B.A in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. He has had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of industries, such as Automotive Sales, Horse Breeding, Real Estate, and Private Equity. This diverse background has enabled Jake to bring a unique view to the day to day operations of Asset Essentials. His roles and responsibilities range from process building to financial modeling and account management.
Fun Fact: Jake was ranked in the top 20 U.S.A players in competitive Pokémon.
- Office Manager
Christiana’s professionalism and extensive working knowledge was introduced to Asset Essentials in early 2018. Her responsibilities include reporting, revenue share auditing, event coordination and providing support to the executive and account management teams.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Christiana graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University earning a B.A. in Psychology, while maintaining the Dean’s list throughout her time there. Since then, her career experience in customer service, office management and human services within government, corporate and small business environments has provided her the skills and experience to provide the highest level of support to clients and colleagues.
Fun Fact: From cars to movies and music, Christiana enjoys all things classic.
Julia joined Asset Essentials in 2018 as an Analyst. A senior at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., she is pursuing a B.A. in Government and minoring in Art and Spanish. Julia has interned for local politicians in San Antonio, a political digital advertising company, and is now gaining experience in the consulting industry. As an Analyst, she provides additional support to the Account Managers as well as performing portfolio reviews, conducting data management, and developing new processes with integration into the existing training manual.
Fun Fact: Julia was once on a competitive jump rope team.
